Norwegian culture, traditions, and heritage

Greetings!
Our suppe på kveld mat was very
well received. We enjoyed two potato soups, a beef vegetable soup and a split pea soup. Plus, we had a good variety of breads and an array of desserts. Thanks again to all of you who shared the good food that everyone one enjoyed. It was an evening of visiting and fellowship.
We welcomed several guests, including Diane Overby and her husband Don. Diane is president of the Sturgeon Bay Lodge and also the Viking correspondent for District 5. We send our thanks for her help with the installation of our officers.
Karen Vedvik and her cast of characters are to be thanked for adding a bit of humor to our evening. Good job done by all.
Thank you to all the cookie bakers who brought a total of 63 dozen cookies for the Barnebirkie. We topped last years count of 53 ½ dozen.
Our March 16th meeting is White Night. Following a short business meeting, we have our White Elephant exchange which always provides a lot of fun. So, please bring a wrapped item to exchange.
Also if you care to, bring white cookies or bars for our coffee and fellowship time
We know word-of-mouth is the best way to find new members, so who could you invite to share in our fun? Until then.....Peace
Ha det fra na! (so long for now)
